-- Visor DLX in your pocket problem (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9838)
Last summer I kept my Deluxe in my shirt pocket. The heat and or moisture forced me to reset it--after letting it cool down. This fall I'm trying to keep it in my pants pocket in the Handspring provided sleeve. I'm having the same problem. A couple days ago the screen was blank--no response at all. A soft reset solved it.
Anyone else having these problems? I know that no buttons were inadvertantly being pushed while it was in the shirt pocket but can't be positive none were pushed while having it in my pants pocket. Any ideas?
Have never experienced this problem. It may be particular to your unit. Try calling Handspring to see if they would replace it. I've exposed mine to frequent steamy bathrooms after a shower or giving my kids a bath.

I am keeping it in the modified case I made. I used the snap on cover and the sleeve to make a holder. The Visor snaps into the plastic cover backwards and the sleeve was cut apart and glued to the back of the plastic cover. It is very handy to use and does protect the Visor. It also allows one handed use--no more having to lay the sleeve down before using the Visor. I found the idea and instructions for modifying the sleeve and plastic cover somewhere in one of the PDA websites but don't remember where.
I keep my Visor (off, of course) in my jeans pocket all the time. I'm in Texas, where we set a record of 80-days without rain. It was hot all summer here! No problems whatsoever with my Visor, though, related to the heat.
I did have a problem with the power button, but that was fixed with a quick call to the Tech number and a 2-day shipped replacement. They're real good with replacing them--if you're still in warranty, that's the way I'd go.
BTW: Have you tried removing all hacks (and grayscale apps)? I had a problem that I tried to change the batteries and it never came back on. I managed to get it into a nasty reset loop once good ones were in it. It was related to having a low battery and using grayscale mode too much with them at 10% or so.
