Handheld needs to reset after synching

Howdy,

Lately, my Visor Deluxe has been demanding that I reset it after I synch it with my desktop. Doesn't say why. Not synching any mail applications, but I am using AvantGo and Vindigo, which seem to work fine, apart from the reset problem. Any ideas, folks?

I just had a similar problem after upgrading to PalmOS Desktop 4.0 for MacOS X. The problem appears to be related to the "Palm OS� Updates" folder in my Palm application directory. There was a PalmOS 3.1.1 update that kept installing each time I synched, then my Visor asked to be reset when the synch finished. You could check your Hot Synch log to see if you have a message like " Installed Update 3.1.1" in the log.
