Has anyone found any alternative? I've seen the Flip-Clip, but there hasn't been much info about it and who knows when it's going to be released. Has anyone had luck using a Palm flip cover and drilling holes in their Visor?

Personally, I didn't mind the Visor cover. Since I never owned a Palm, I wasn't used to the flip cover anyway. I took the Visor cover off the 1st day I received it, and haven't used it since. (I wonder what happened to it... )

Do you use a case? If so, what kind? You might want to look into the E&B Slipper Visor Case. (I also own and like the Bi-Fold case, but that's a separate issue.) The Slipper has a flip-top that protects the Visor screen, when closed. It reminds me of a notepad with the spiral or glue at the top. Since the cover flips out of the way, there is no extra bulk when using the Visor in your hand. If you are already using a case that's a bit larger than the Visor, the Slipper case can stay on the unit, and the entire thing can go into the larger case. Just an idea... (*please* don't drill those holes! )

I have the E&B Slipper Visor Case and I must say it's a big improvment over the standard clip on cover!

I also saw some kind of PALMIII style cover for the visor somewhere... I can't find the link anymore... but it was not in production yet....

You are lucky, I just remembered...

I wasn't planning on drilling holes in it, just wondering if anyone has. Haven't seen the Slipper case, so I'll have to check it out. I've also been waiting for the Flip Clip, but their site hasn't been updated since 6/2 and they're supposed to be having a drawing today for a Flip Clip, so maybe they'll update one of these days.

I was looking for a replacement for the clip-on cover. I'm not using any case right now, but I did try the Bumper case and it was a bit bulky. I don't need much protection, only for the screen.

I always found the palm style flip covers to be quite annoying. Granted the slip off cover bites as well but why would you want to replace it with a palm style cover I use the Rhodiana case, you can do no wrong with this case and I never have to use another pain in the a** cover again.
