regarding the ship date... personally it does not make sence to announce an Oct 15th ship date and then pospone it again. If the man himself said mid oct then it will be until he says otherwise. At least thats what I think.

I think the three week date is for people ordering now. Jeff Hawkins himself would not announce a date like that if he wasn't certain it was going to ship as scheduled. Didn't he say two weeks on Wednesday, September 29th? That would make it October 13th. My money was on the 12th. oh well...

Ok, I finally did it. Got me a Visor Deluxe. Graphite. I asked how long it would be before I acually got it, and he said about a month because they have a huge backlog now, but the first visors are shipping later this week.

Also, they're taking orders on a computer now instead of pencil and paper!

I hope that's right. I ordered on the 14th so mine should be one of the first. If their warehouse is in California shipping via UPS should take two days for me, only one for you people in CA.

I ordered my Visor on the 29th.. got a blue one (but today I am feeling graphite...ergg) anyway, I called back a day or so ago and requested next day air (if i remember, was only 10 bucks)... The original guy that took my order didn't ask me how I wanted it shipped.

Some CSR told me about the shipping, BTW anyone knows what the prices are for upgrading the shipping process?

I'm impressed...they have their system on computer now. I placed my order on the 16th and when i just called to upgrade my shipping, he pulled up my record immediately. He confirmed that they will ship Oct 15 and that email notices will go out a week before shipment. That puts me up to more than three calls to Handspring now

Is their call centre 24hrs?
