Question Mouse

Hi All,

If you knew just how vital your mouse is to your computer,
would you give it a "hug" each day?

By the way, what type of mouse are "you" sporting with your computer anyway?

I got a IBM ActiveScroll Mouse myself. I am using the PS/2 to Serial Adapter ( since my COM1 port is serial).

Microsoft Intellimouse Optical (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouse/imo_info.asp ). No ball to clean and buttons for browser back and forward.

Makes a great birthday or christmas present, too

Hi All,

Can a Optical Mouse be use from a serial port ( I'm guessing, via a adapter at least)?

Lightbulb Mouse Cradle?

Hi All,

Here's another wild idea from me:

How about making a Visor cradle -> a mouse device also?

With a hot sync button added to this new hardware
May need two cables attach from it I know.

I'm using a wireless, optical Logitech trackball. It's cool because I can sit back on my couch and watch DVDs and control them as well.

I'm still using the Apple USB "puck" mouse that came with the computer, with an "iCatch" lid over it to make it ergonomic.
I will be getting macAlly's three-button scrolling optical mouse eventually.

logitech cordless optical mouse here. at work i use the cordless mouse with the cordless keyboard too.

i would love to find a mouse with even more buttons. i have the thumb button set as the internet 'back' command. can't tell y'all how addictive that is. between the scroll wheel also serving as a button and substituting for the double-click, and the aforementioned back button, i go nuts now when i sit at someone else's machine that does not have that stuff...

You said you already have a PS/2 to Serial comverter? The Intellimouse that I have came with a USB to PS/2 adapter. It should work...

Everyone should have an optical mouse! They are great.

I haven't considered going with a wireless mouse, but it would be too complicated with a laptop. I can just throw the Intellimouse in my computer-backpack with the laptop. That poor excuse for a trackpad is rediculous (or it could just be me).
