What happened to the easter egg?

I used to have the color easter egg on my Prism that you get on the General Prefs page by making a small clockwise circle just above the calculator, but somewhere along the way I lost it and can't get it back. Any theories? I've upgraded to OS 3.5.2H1.4, but it went away before the upgrade.

I sort of miss it now.

Just to ask a stupid question, you have tried it a couple of times, right? It can be a pain getting it to show up.

Anyway, I wonder if HS would arrange a replacement for faulty easter eggs.

I have the latest update and just checked -- the little easter egg is still there. I don't know how you activate it, but if you've been drawing a little clockwise circle, try a little anti-clockwise circle instead. It works for me every time

Believe me, I've tried it both ways. Tiny circles, medium sized-circles. Nothing works. Not the greatest loss in the world, but still, I do sort of miss it.

It took me about 15 tries just now but I did get it. make sure you do the counter-clockwise circle in the extreme lowest right corner of the screen and make your circle about the size of the calculator picture. I think placement is everything.

Have you tried kicking it?

You must just be stupid or something.

I never even knew about it and I got it to show up with like 3 tries.

Ditto!

That's it - I'm just stupid, I guess. I never learned how to make a proper circle in nursery school and later I flunked out of geometry because I couldn't draw a point, either.

To those of you who sent helpful reples, I appreciate it. Having now gotten the Easter egg to show up (and on my first try - ooooh!) on a friend's Palm this morning, and having made circles of every size both clockwise and counterclockwise, if anyone has an idea of some program or hack that could be suppressing the easter egg on my prety-loaded-up Prism, I'd love to know about it.

Thanks,

PS

By the way, since I have everything backed up on a MemPlug module, I just did a hard reset of the Visor, and, with nothing installed on it, attempted the Easter egg. No surprise - it came up on the first try (counterclockwise, by the way). So obviously, something on my Visor is keeping it from appearing. Anyone with any thoughts on this?

Problem solved

I uninstalled all of my hacks, and then tried to get the Easter egg. No problem - it showed up. I then re-activated all of the hacks, and the egg was still there.

I love a happy ending.

You don't get off that easily. Find out which hack was causing the problem and let us know.

Did you have the snake hack on? you know snakes eat eggs right?
Or maybe if you toss your visor in a nest and sit on it for a couple days you may get an egg. Who knows.

And the taxi

Hey, I forgot all about this since getting my Prism 6 months ago. I tried it out, and sure enough the egg is now in color - and the taxi is now a little red convertible! How come you guys have never mentioned something really IMPORTANT like this?

Posted by thepromoter on 07-14-2001 10:06 PM:

I believe VisorCentral posted that a while ago.

Hey, alanf, the egg is in color and the taxi's a convertible now.

I just thought you might like to know...

New Year's Day easter egg

On the topic... Did any of you have your Visors on as we crossed into the new year in January? Got my first one last Xmas, so I had the chance to do this. Unless it was all the sparkling grape juice I was drinking, I would SWEAR that it put on a fireworks display.

Anyone else see that?

Posted by thepromoter on 07-17-2001 05:52 AM:

I never did but I guess we could put our time back to New Years eve 11:59 1999 and see for ourselves.

Posted by Yorick on 07-17-2001 12:38 PM:

geek that I am, and being that I didn't have my Visor until mid-January, I took a stab at changing the date and time to 11:59p 12/31/00, watched it for a bit, and nothing happened. poo.
boy do I feel dopey.
