Rant (I Guess) Memory Price
I cannot understand why Handspring will not offer an expansion memory module that is competitively priced. The 8 meg Handspring module is $80 US while Palm's *16 meg* module is $50 US.
My family is giving me a Visor Neo for Christmas, and saved ~ $20 us over the price of a Palm M125, but that difference is more than dissipated by the price of the memory module.
Is there something I'm missing about the Handspring memory module that makes it worth more than 200% more (per meg) than the Palm module?
Umm, it's a Springboard-compatible?

If it's any consolation, they're on sale now at Palmgear...http://www.palmgear.com/news/showne...amp;resID=21084
Not the same
The Handspring 8MB module is the same as an 8MB RAM upgrade when you insert it. As far as the Dragonball processor is concerned that RAM could be inside the Visor. This makes a differnence when running programs and databases from the module (granted, with VFS the difference is negligible). A more direct comparison to the Palm 16Meg card would be a Memplug adapter with a CF card or SM card. You'll probably pay $50 for the memplug, but then the cards are much less expensive.
Having said all that, the 8MB module is still a rip off. Don't get it, buy the Memplug or other CF adapter and get some real memory.

Thanks for the comments, everybody.
I ended up getting the Springboard 8 meg module on eBay (in a Dutch auction) for under $39 shipped to my door. A price I can live with.
