-- A Case to Withstand my Children (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9565)

Wink

I just got my Visor Prism (my first PDA) about three weeks ago. My kids (ages 3, 4, and 6) can't get enough of it. They love to play games and "paint" on it. I make them sit on the bed or floor when they play with it because I am worried that they will drop it. I need a case that will bounce (so to speak) if dropped from a few feet.

I also sync at least once a day (got to have that Avant Go...) so I would like it if it were not a huge effort to take out of the case to sync.

Any suggestions?

Can't help with a case but there is a program I use called Kidspilot. It sets up a new desktop on the visor and allows access to only the programs that you have set up for them. Works great.
Couple of times I've come up behind my daughter (6) and she is on the delete screen or in my address book! I don't let them play with it unless I hand it to them with Kidspilot engaged.

I suggest you buy your kids some alternate toys. You drop the Prism and you're out about 100 bones or so to get it repaired (each time.) I'd suggest the HS sport cases, but you can't use the Prism while it's in this type of case (pouch)

You might want to try the Bumper case from Concept Kitchen. http://www.conceptkitchen.com/

I don't know how well the prism fits yet, but I have seen one for a Palm Vx and it seemed fairly protective. I doubt if any case is going to be anywhere close to 'childproof'.
