rechargable batteries won't charge

I have a Visor Prism (~ 4 years old-I know, ancient!) and the rechargable batteries will not charge through the cradel. The unit will syn through the cradle and will show the icon for battery charging while in the cradle but the batteries do not charge.

Are the rechargable batteries "used up" and/or are they replacable? Or is there perhaps another problem?

I replaced the battery in my Prism about a year ago. I bought the battery from www.gethightech.com (aka www.pdaparts.com). They're sold out right now, but it looks like some other places have it in stock - use the search terms "handspring visor prism battery" on www.froogle.com.

to dtrego, Thanks so much for the help. I have not really kept up on the latest and greatest from Palm since my Prism has performed so flawlessly. I have already ordered the replacement batteries and I shoul dbe up and running again within a few days. Sure do appreciate the help!!!!!!!!!
