And what state, web site does not have them
I bought it (SmartMedia version) in Utah but I read in a post on Memplug's board of someone getting the same price in Washington.
It was also not a sale, but I wouldn't be suprised if it were a mistake.
Bought my memplug yesterday at CompUSA in Pittsburgh, PA
for $29.95. They had just come in that morning and had received only
3 of them. The 32 MB SM Card was also $29.95.

I got my MemPlug yesterday at CompUSA in NYC for 29.99. I'm so happy about it. I haven't get the smartmedia card yet but I guess this is a great deal.

PS. I was about to get a used 8MB flash module for $45 but I didn't since the guy sold it to a co-worker for $50. I'm so happy I didn't buy it from him.

It all started way back in February 2000 with a Blue VDX.
Went 6/30 to CompUSA in Orlando and they are charging full price (one in stock), so apparently the jig is up
.
Any chance one of you Americans who can get the memplug for $30 would buy me one the next time you're in compusa? Not asking you to make a special trip. And I'd paypal you for it and shipping (and, say $5-10 for your time).
In Toronto, no one even sells the thing, let alone for that great price. I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
mc
Why couldn't it be me!
The CompUSA in Little Rock was full price. Broke my heart but I went back and picked it up anyway. Though I must say the first time I put the module in it locked up the prism and when I reset the thing it did a HARD RESET. Fortunately I lost only a few minor things. Major stuff restored off the day old backup. Hasn't done it since so I don't know what the deal was.
BE CAREFUL. FULL BACKUP PRIOR.
Ask for help
Did you send an email to PIT and ask for help?
The email address is [email protected]
NO. Annoyed me but since it hasn't done it since it's not a reproducible error and there isn't a whole lot they could do if it isn't consistent. Plus since I can't reproduce exactly what apps/hacks were present it would be doubly hard.
If it does it more then I will definitely be contacting them. One question since I left it at the house this morning....Is the squishing of JPEG's fixed in later releases of piviewer? My PDR-M4 takes photos at 1600x1200 and they are about the size of a postage stamp on piviewer 1.0 that came on the module. I will download the update tomorrow but was curious.
I did succeed in acquiring a MemPlug for $29.99 at CompUSA, but have been having trouble since then. It is not reproducible at all, but I would say every fifth time or so that I turn on my Visor, the Memplug programs are not visible. Turning the Visor on and off does not have any effect, I have to reset it or unplug/replug the adapter to make the Pi software show up again. I am considering returning this adapter. Has anyone else had a similar problem? By the way, I have no hacks installed and a relatively clean RAM (more than half empty).
1) Have you isntaleld he Pidirect software get rid of it. Use the eraser softwarare on their site, than the 1.3v of their software ie. no pidirect
2) Do you have Xmaster jsut installed? For me if jsut being installed would crash things..

No hacks installed. I am using a Visor with Palm OS 3.1 so I haven't installed PiDirect. Does it come preinstalled?
No it doesn't come preinstalled yet. I would reccomend e-mailing [email protected] for more help.
