Has anyone found a case that really works?
Hi all...
I am a fairly new Visor Dx user. I have a stowaway (doesn't everybody though) which i think is awesome. I am a college student and have a hard time juggling things. I have a metal case from kensington (thanks Mom) to protect it from the elements and from what ever else i get into. But in order to use my Stoaway i have to remove my Visor.
I also have a "Bumper" from Fellowes (thanks again Mom). Both have cutouts in the bottom for hotsync but the gap is too big to connect to the stowaway.
So has anyone found a case that protects and works with a keyboard.
Or does anyone know of an adaptor with male and female ends that would bridge that gap?
I am also a Batman fan, so i am looking for a suitable belt clip too..
Thanks...
Side note...anyone hear of a "case" that would carry my Visor, My Stowaway and a module or two...and provide good protection, I am Paramedic and a fireman...so i get into alot in alot of places.

Good Casees
Check out Rhino cases, I think mine is a 2000, it would work perfect for you I think, and you can throw it in a backback or Laptop/briefcase to carry with other junk. I use an Intel case made for laptops, it looks nice like a breifcase, has TONS of pockets, dividers, everything and more. It has room for papers, notebook, Rhino case, pens, batteries, you name it. When I dont need or want to carry a bunch of crap around, I use just the Rhino case for the Prism and modules, room for cash and papers too if needed. If I only need to carry my Prism, I use the Handspring Blue Neoprene Velcro case, it protects very well IMHO. Then, if in a meeting or in the store shopping, I don't want to be looked at too strangely (my eyes are red enough already), so I just slip the thing in a coat pocket. It's made it over a year so far, good luck
Tough cases?
www.rhinoskin.com- the 1100 (for the Visor alone), 2000 (for either one, sometimes both), or the 3000, and some other options.
www.grindergear.com- TOUGH cases! These are some of the sturdiest cases I have seen.
www.newsungear.com- An odd site, but some great cases. The 'Satillite' is great for the Visor alone, but too small for both. The Liberty Expedition pouch will hold both, but it is unpadded, so carry the Visor in it's slipcase. NewSun offers one of the most innovative belt loops- secure but removeable.
www.duluthtrading.com- look for the PDA case- this puppy is TOUGH, inexpensive, and will supposedly hold a Stow-a-Way. For the cost, get one for the StowaWay and another for the Visor!
www.Smartercases.com offers tough, inexpensive metal cases in some interesting patterns.
Cannot locate the links right now, but some of the people who make holsters and police belt accessories also make PDA pouches. I have not seen any of these, but I bet they are pretty durable!

case to use with Stowaway
You might want to check out this site.
www.conceptualinnovations.com
I too have been looking for a case that I can us with my Stowaway. I was one of the unlucky ones that bought it at full price before I heard about Office Depot liquidations of Visor products. Oh well it was still worth it.
Anyway, I've been all over the case sites. From Targus to Rhodiana and in my search, I found the site that I list above.
Looks interesting. Let me know if you buy one.
I haven't made my mind up yet on any case.
Stay cool
The Conceptual innovations cases look OK, but I am a little worried about the lack of information, photographs, etc. for a $40 or $55 case. If I'm going to spend that much on a case that looks a lot like the Sumdex $20 cases, I want to know why it is worth the extra money.
It is also a slightly 'off' site somehow. It reminds me of Incase Designs' site- pretty, but at the expense of a little user-friendliness.

You can also try www.DirectCase.com you can check out pretty much all the cases mentioned here and more in one place. great search function in the header, and if you have q's the cust. service is a phone call away. Good luck.

I started PDAing with an HP100 7 years ago. Now I'm using the same case for my Visor with an Innogear MP3 player and a Seiko thumbboard. There's an interesting selection at www.ripoffs.com.
