No problems in migrating data over to the Visor except....
If you are using a program called backup buddy you have to be careful not to migrate any flash memory updates that are on the Palm to the Visor. You will probably get a major error and have to hard reset.

Also, certain programs will IR Sync between the two machines. This is tedious but one way to avoid the issue. If you have purchased additional software for the Palm unit and you want it to migrate to the Visor then use the exact same user name for both machines otherwise the registration number will probably be invalid on the Visor. But again, be careful to sync the two machines only one time due to potential problems.

Once you receive your Visor, install the software even though you already have Hot Sync manager and Palm desktop installed. This will setup the USB synching capabilities and prepare the backup files for uploading on the first sync.

If you haven't added any additional software to the Palm, then install the software and go ahead and sync. All of your data should immediately sync to the Visor. Do not use the same User name if you plan on keeping the Palm unit. It will cause conflicts later on.
