Swicth to Pro???

I'm thinking of switching over to the pro, but I'm curious as to the rechargeable battery feature.
Does this work off the current supplied by the USB port, or is there an external power cord that also gets plugged in to supply power. I've read on the review that it will work with all Vdx, and Plat cradles, but how will it recharge if it is in my serial cradle I use at work?

Any one have details yet? How this works, how many pins on the Pro, cradle compatibility?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks all.

It charges with the USB cradle that comes with it.. I've used the Edge's charger and it's very nice, it just charges automatically while it's in the sync cradle. I don't think you can use any other cradles to charge it, since the Prism and Edge are the only ones with rechargers built into the cradle and they're a difference size. The Deluxe etc cradles will work for syncing, but not recharging.

You can buy a serial cradle charger that's on Handspring's website, or an AC adapter charger, but they're kinda expensive ($50 and $35 respectively). =(

Yes. You plug the separate powercord into the USB connection where it plugs into your CPU. This provides the power that charges the Pro while it's in the cradle.

Just to clarify: it is not powered by the USB connector/port directly, but rather by an external AC adapter that connects to the USB connector where it plugs into the desktop.

Anyone who purchases the Pro and needs recharging while away from the
desk can check out my site. Click on "Charge" below.
