hmmm....

That is what I thought at first. being just mold lines. But when I took a closer look I noticed that they weren't exactly straight, they were bent a bit. I've never known mold lines to be anything but straight...hmmmm....more responces would be appreciated.
Alex..

P.S. my other dilemma is if it the Neo's and I return mine, which one do I get? suggestions plz...I am student with a limited budget..

Mine are bent too. The bottom one is especially bent (concave/convex/whatever!!).

Cracks

Well I did it, I dropped it and cracked the screen (YAAA!!!!). Luckily I was able to exchange it at the store I bought it at. Needless to say upon closer inspection of the new one, fresh out of the sealed box, I noticed that the "cracks" were in the exact same spots as before. I guess that that makes three official Neo's that have cracks in the exact same spot. I say they are mold lines because they are all exactly the same.

as a Deluxe owner also thinking about upgrading to the Pro, i'm real interested in your experiences, VoxDei. 2 related questions:

-- is the speed difference REALLY that noticeable - particularly for things other than games? the speed is the main reason i would upgrade, but i'm worried about being disappointed.

-- since you had no problem transferring files from the deluxe to the pro, does that mean that the difference in operating systems didn't cause any problems? (e.g. the deluxe programs or databases or hacks not working properly under the updated op. system.)

thanks in advance.

DEFINITELY! I use WordSmith, ActionNames, and HanDBase a lot and the difference is quite noticeable, even now that I've been using it for a couple of weeks, I'm surprised at how much faster it seems.

I'm sure there are some people who will say that obtained similar results by overclocking, but it never worked for me. I tried AfterBurner several times on several settings, and it always made strange changes happen across the board and made the entire system far less stable

There really shouldn't be any problem using a program that worked on 3 with 3.5 and there hasn't been, so far.

I too am interested, so I went looking at the local CompUSA.

I always thought that the reason that my Visor Deluxe was a bit slower because the memory is about 60-70% full, but when I played with the Visor Pro, I was amazed at how fast the screen draws were. Made me "WOW" in front of the CompUSA guy.

I hope not. I have BackupBuddy and hopefully, if I upgrade, I would back up my Deluxe, "name" my new Pro with the same name (Paul) and hotsyncing should cause BackupBuddy to push all my data back to the Visor... in theory!!

As long as you don't have anything like the Handspring Updater for the Deluxe installed, this should work. If you have installed the update, simply remove the file (HSExt_1_0_3.prc) from your backup directory before syncing to the new device.
