In the draft manual for Pi Direct, it says it works with Memplug vers. 1.4 or higher. Does anybody know if the current models being sold by Palmgear (on back order of course) meet this version no. or do we need to wait for even newer models?

My memplug came 1 week ago with v 1.3 already, but going to the site will show you software upgrade patches, if needed.

It doesn't matter which version is your current MemPlug at. You can always download the latest version from www.memplug.com when they become available.

I think the confusion is based on a lack of understanding. Version numbers of modules indicate software revisions (via flash updates), not hardware versions (the hardware usually doesn't change). The update to version 1.4 will be available on or around June 15th acording to what I've seen from PIT, and WILL include PiDirect (with limited functionality until registered).

As a beta tester for PiDirect I can't reveal much, but so far everything disclosed by Pi has been completely accurate, and they have been quick to fix problems found by testers so far.

Trust me, everyone will lovvvvve this new software!
