Just a quick note -- I got an email today from Card Access that the Audible Advisor module has been rescheduled for release during the first week of July.

Send a Prerelease version to Visorcentral, so that we can have a review of it, less than a week after it is announced!

What does the Audible Advisor SB do again?

It's a module for listening to audiobooks, audio magazines, and newspapers from audible.com on your Visor. I found the Card Access website pretty helpful, and if you have any questions about it, email Card Access. They've been really quick getting back to me.

Thumbs up

Any ideas on how much this SB will cost? Looks like another very cool product from a good company (I use the Thinmodem, which is also great). Those electronic audiobooks from audible.com are way cheaper than their cassette-tape counterparts.

I heard that the SB will be something like $10 or $20 if you subscribe as an "audible listener" at the time of purchase.

Yeah, theres a special cash back offer if you sign up for Audible's "LightListener plan" for $12.95 a month, you get 2 Audio Books a month.

One of the benefits of this module is that the 16mb of memory can also be used for Palm Apps, of course this isn't as exciting anymore because of the MemPlug...

Not to change the subject, but is there any way to listen to "stuff" from the memplug? Do you think that the audible advisior compresses the file to be able to play it? It would be nice if you could listen to books via the memplug.
