I would like to have the same database on both my home and work computer. A coworker said that this causes problems due to a time of entry discrepency between the two databases.

I have ordered an extra cradle and am wondering if anyone else uses two computers.

I synch at home and at work and have no problems.

When I first bought a Palm I intended to do this, but it became apparent that I'd wind up with lots of dupe entries if I did. Since the Palm itself is always with me, it became unnecessary. I sync with my most important computer (work) and if I need such info, I use the Palm itself at home.

Question

Sluggo

How do you coordinate synching two computers?
Is there a trick to it?

well,

when you first sync, there might be a few dupes if you created the same entries on both computers.

if you have been manually maintaining the same db on 2 machines, once you sync your visor/palm with the first machine, go to the second pc and set your hotsync options to 'handheld overwirthe pc'.

there should be no dupes. but only overwrite the first time. do 'syncronize the data' on both machines after that.

hope i made some sense.
