Hey...I luckily have recieved my visor after being one of those people that ordered theirs in the very beginning.
I am trying to find out if any other company makes and sells stylus that will fit into the visor deluxe. I am not that happy with the plastic ones but I also don't feel like waiting for handspring again. Thanks in advance....ari

I went down to Fry's Electronics last week to answer this question myself. The plastic stylus feels cheap, and is too light, which makes you have to work harder to write. So, anyway, I found a few styli and took them out of their cases to see if they would fit. I bought some for the Palm V, but there's one catch: The non-writing end of the stylus has a raised area that is too wide to fit in the Visor's slot. I bought them anyway, because this piece is made out of plastic and can be filed down. Hope this helps...

I got a Pilot Pentopia stylus from Best Buy. It has a shirt clip, that way I just carry it in addition to the one in the visor and don't have to worry about its fitting into the visor case - which it does not anyway. It is very slim, looks like a stylus and not a pen. It has a fine ball point under the cap and has worked for me ... so far.

One thing I did though, was put a WriteRight on my screen (CE size seems to fit well). There's a bit of sacrifice in clarity but is a trade-off worth making to avoid scratches on the orig. screen.

I don't know anybody that has a replacement stylus for the visor, but you may want to check RhinoSkin.com from time to time. They have styli for the Palm handhelds, and they have a lot of cases for the Handspring visor:

Thumbs up

Has anyone purchased the Pilot Chameleon stylus? the specs say that it fits in Palm Professionals and my stylus from the Palm Pro fits in my Visor, so I assume this chameleon stylus, (has pen, reset pin and PDA stylus, in a metal body), fits.

You can see it at:

I purchased the Pilot Chameleon for my Visor and I love it. It is a fairly good fit-a little difficult to retrieve from the silo if you push it too far in, though. Otherwise, nice weight, small pen, reset pin- only drawback-a little pricey @ $20 at Best Buy.

Good Luck!

Also the reset pin doesn't quite reach the Visors reset switch.

I noticed that about the Palm stylus as well. I bought a set of 3 of the aluminum ones. I keep one clipped to the outside of my RhinoSkins case. It certainly feels more substantial.

But you know what, I'm actually learning to like the plastic stylus that came with the Visor. I know, that's heresy, but I kind of like the light feel of it.
