I was checking the inserts in today's paper and Staples is advertising the Targus Stowaway Keyboard for the normal price of 99.95 but you get a free Visor/Stowaway Carrying case with it, so those of you <like me> who wanted a stowaway but wanted some kind of deal, friday and saturday staples is having this. But if someoen can show me a better deal somewhere online or off I'd be interested

Try Buy.com. They have the Stowaway for the Visor at $90.95 Plus, if you get it this weekend, shipping is free. (Good for any order over $50 & under 20 lbs.) They also have good deals on the better books for the Visor (better prices than at Amazon.com) and other stuff. I lucked out, even more: I bought the Stowaway a week ago (Nov 15), when it was only $84.95, plus I had a "coupon" from Buy.com for $10 off of $75 or more, or $15 off of $150 or more. I got two books on the Visor plus some Zip 250 disks to come up to over $150. I had some items the next day, and the Stowaway arrived Tuesday (ordered on Wednesday before). However, I'm in Oregon and most of the stuff was shipped from California, so it could take longer if you're in the East.

I'd really like to see what case they're offering at Staples, though. I'm planning to get a RhinoPak 2000 to carry the Stowaway and Visor. (The Visor will be in a Vaja flip top case.)

Amazon has good price, but...

I bought a stowaway off Amazon.com on Sunday (11/19)for 84.85 or something (not sure about the cents) which was the best price I could find anywhere. It was an even better deal since I live in California, but they didn't charge me tax.

Anyways, they said it was in stock and usually ships within 24 hours. As of late Wednesday (11/22) it was "In stock - shipping soon". Of course they were closed yesterday for thanksgiving, and when I tried to check the status today (11/24) some screen came up saying their stores were closed temporarily, but they would be back soon.

Lucky for them because I would have canceled my order if I could have gotten to it. I'm pissed off enough now that I'm ready to just go to Best Buy or something and pay the $108 it would cost me.

Did you ever get your keyboard?

Hey mchlwise, did Amazon ship your keyboard yet? I ordered from Amazon 11/23 and it just arrived today. I sent them an e-mail Tuesday morning since they hadn't sent it yet and by the afternoon it was shipped.

As for deals, I was able to get the Stowaway for the Amazon price plus I bought something else worth $15, brought my price up to $100 and then I used a coupon for $15 off orders of $100+. So I pretty much got it for free...and didn't have to pay shipping either.

I'm cool too...
