Problem syncing with AvantGo
Just got my Visor Pro. I have not got my VisorPhone yet, but tried to setup an account with AvantGo (www.avantgo.com). Followed all the steps in the "Setup Checklist", but at the last step "SYNCRONIZE" I press the sync button on the cradle and get an error message on my PC:
Place your device in its cradle and press the HotSync button
The AvantGo servers haven't received a synchronization from your device yet. Please try again.
Everything else is syncing and the cradle is connected to the PC's USB. I am currently logged into the AvantGo site when I try to sync.
Very frustrating. Anyone got any ideas about what I need to do?

Did you install avantgo software on your PC?
Did you auto detect the settings?
start menu . . . programs . . . Avantgo . . . Avantgo Auto Detect . . . Connection Tab . . . Auto Detect button.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone. 
My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

Auto-detect did not work (but it was worth a try). BUT, on the PDA I was able to set up the required information by entering:
Server Address: sync.avantgo.com
Port: 80
Then my User name and password
Tried to sync and hey presto - it worked
I'm now a very happy person (sad isn't it).
