According to Zdnet, the Handspring Cellphone module will ship Sept 25 and cost $299. It comes with a rechargable battery and a headset. It also has an earpiece and you talk using the Visor's built-in mic.

I think I'll be using the headset most of the time, but the fact you can hold the Visor up to your head adds to the convenience.

The $299 price seems steep, but I'm think of getting one anyway.

Also new from Handspring is a color screen model for $449 and a "Platinum" monochrome model for $299.
