I would advise against leaving your backup module in your Visor for one simple reason. What happens if you lose your Visor? You would also lose your backup. Just a thought.

Smile Yep, it works!

I have had my FlipCover for two solid weeks. Upon taking the the abuse of my pockets(dangerous but, favorite way to carry my OVDX), the FlipCover and most importantly my Visor are still in great condition! No loosening or wear to the cover at all. This was the perfect solution for me because I have always used the hard cover to keep the slimmest form factor possible while protecting the screen. Very impressed with the color match as well. It was an after thought when ordering and might not seem important compared to function but, it's nice to have a solution that actually looks like it was designed to blend with the device like an original component.

Order page confusing

Or, maybe it's just me. But, if you want to order the whole kit and kaboodle (hey, my mother taught me that) which choice is right? The first choice on the page is "flip cover." Okay, is that everything? Because the thrid choice is the "flip cover." It's even labeled "Flip Cover." Do you have to order these components separately? Which choice just gets you the whole system?

Maybe they've changed the page in the last few hours, but the page that I'm looking at has pictures of each item. The labels are different, too: the first says "Flip Cover," the second "Prism Flip Cover," the third is "Cover," and so on. The URL for that page is:

http://store.flipcover.com/

The first choice is the entire kit and kaboodle. (Tha phrase came from the British Army, BTW. Those were the pack, cartridge belt, etc., worn by a soldier. He wasn't ready to go unless he had both kit and kaboodle.)

The neat thing is that you can make a "custom" flip cover by ordering the cover, hinge, and module separately. That way, I could put a blue cover & graphite module on my graphite Visor Deluxe, which would look quite neat.

keeping the backup module separate from the Visor

sdoersam, you made a good point. While storing the backup module inside the Visor is more convenient, I think I will keep it separate.

Unhappy

I was real happy when I received my Flip cover with the adapter for an existing module on Monday. The fit was nice and everything seemed perfect. But less that a week later the adhesive has already worn out. Now when ever I carry my visor in my bag the adapter just slides around and will not stay in place. I even made sure that I cleaned the top of the module with some alcohol so that no grease would keep the adhesive from sticking. I guess it was too good to be true. I will have to look for a different option, maybe the adapter they will make for use with oversized modules will be better.

This is something to be aware of before you buy the adapter for an existing module.

Exclamation sticky situation

"... adapter just slides around and will not stay in place. I even made sure that I cleaned the top of the module with some alcohol ..."

I am not sure if you either received a bad adapter or the alcohol you used re-acted with the tape but this should not happen. Email us with your order info and we can send you out a replacement.
