-- Favorite pain killer (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15947)
My broken wrist is killing me! I was up all night, until I took some Motrin, when I got some sleep. It's not just my wrist, but it's also the abrasions all over my body. What's your favorite pain killer?

Well, there was a bike race downtown, and my family, a friend, and I went biking on the side walk, next to the race. The sidewalk was stuffed, everyone was biking, scootering, skating, jogging, there was no space. Eventually, we decided to go back to the car. We were about halfway there when some other biker cut me off. Hhe knocked over my bike, my wrist went out, and I'm not quite sure whether I blacked out or not, but I got right back up thinking I could jog off the injury. My little brother, who must have been tailgating me, went crashing into my bike, he's OK. Luckily, there was an ambulance nearby, and I got taken to a local hospital, where they put on a cast.
It hurts so badly to type one handed, in addition to things.

Bike accidents are the worst. I once crashed on a path on the way to the dentist. It was early morning & I bonked. To make matters worse, I was on a fairly secluded path (in the 'burbs, but not well traveled at that early hour). I blacked out for a while, then left my bike & stumbled to a phone, where I discovered that my dad's office didn't accept collect calls (great, huh?). I finally got ahold of an operator who connected me for free. I hurt my wrist pretty bad, but was otherwise fine.
hope you get better quickly!

Plain old aspirin works wonders for me. How old are you?

I think you're old enough for aspirin. Have you tried it?

Well,
I'm saying go for "Aleive" (I think that is how it is spelled) It's strong enough, when I did a pain killer lab way back in grade school, it worked the fastest, and it's easy to swallow. It also lasts pretty long.

Aleive is good. I took a few right after I broke my wrist last year and they seemed to help a bit, but then the doctor gave me something stronger. I just started using the Aleive Cold and Sinus for my allergies and it works great too.

Two things helped when I ripped everything apart in my ankle one year while hiking in the mountains...(the doctor said it would have been much easier to heal if I had broken it): time, and Alieve (sp?). Your pain will begin to subside with time, but meanwhile, Alieve is good stuff, as others have said.
I was off of the ankle for 13 weeks over all - couch, crutches, etc. - I learned a lot of new software and got lots of letters written!
I also learned a lot about rehabbing ankles! I live near the Appalachian Trail and love to hike, so I need both ankles!!
Hang in there!!
