Prism Battery Life

I recently purchased a Visor Prism that is just great. My only problem is that the battery only lasts about 3 hours. Anything I can do about this? I know I might need a new battery. Does the age of the battery affect it's performance and how can I make sure I buy a "fresh, new" battery? Thanks so much for any info.

I ordered my replacement battery from www.gethightech.com (aka www.pdaparts.com), and have been happy with it. It's well over a year old and still lasts quite a while.
