earlier I stated that the quavadis software that comes with the HandyGPS will only have US maps. I also jumped to the conclusion that there were no plans for european maps...

This appears to be NOT true. I received an e-mail from the sales dept. from marcosoft stating that I was wrong...(I know stange but true )

My cincere apologies to macrosoft for spreading false information, but I truely beleived there were no plans for international maps...
I guess I got confused with the info on both the marcosoft an navicom site which aren't always in sync....

ironicaly they plan to have the european maps ready this year and are researching the possible inclusion in the library for Canada, Australia, and the rest of the world.
I'll be moving to Australia just when they deliver the european maps... that'll teach me to get my facts straight
So it's good news for europe, still patience for the rest of the world...

p.s. yes, the macrosoft team also reads VC

After posting this I received a very rude e-mail from ted the sales-rep at Marcosoft.....

All I can say is, if they tread all their customers this way I would advise everybody to stay away from this product...
especially since there are other GPS products on the market soon.....
