Is this normal battery life for new battery?
I've had my Prism for 2 years and 3 months now, and recently had to decide if I should move to another PDA or upgrade the Prism. I ended up having StyMPy upgrade the RAM to 16mb and bought a new battery for the Prism from Laptopsforless.com.
I've had the battery for about 2 weeks now, and was expecting it to perform better than it has been. Usualy within a half hour, the battery is already at 90 percent or less, and that is with a setting of 35 percent on the backlight. This seems no better than the original battery that I had in my Prism, which was produced in Sept of 2000.
My question is, do I have a dud? What are other people used to getting out of their batteries, especially those that may have recently installed a replacement battery.
My configuration is:
Backlight @ 35% or less
16mb internal memory
Flashplus adapter/256 mb Sandisk set for high speed
X-master with 9 or 10 hacks
LauncherX
Beam Receive Off
I'd appreciate some numbers and feedback.
Thanks
Bill
