-- Visor (not Deluxe) for 99 at Staples (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15550)
I got an email from Staples this morning. With shipping free and the Handspring rebate, it comes to 99 bucks. Not bad. Beware though, the shopping cart thing at the bottom still had the old price in it. I did not purchase. I don't need it. You might want to call if the price is not right.

Get it even $30 cheaper
Get it even cheaper - Dealspree sent me this e-mail:
HandSpring Visor HandHeld $69 HOT HOT
Go Here http://www.dealspree.com/Jumpto.asp...e=Staples%2Ecom
Search and Add Items 430654, ACC72380 Total $150.14
Then At CheckOut Use Coupon Code: 91782
Send in the $50 MIR. Total is $70 Shipped!
What makes you believe Staples would honor both offers? When I looked at the rebate information, it stated "offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions." At <$70, I would buy one for my children (who have been clamoring for one)but I don't believe both offers would fly. Any opinions out there?
They've done it in the past
I actually loaded everything into the cart as instructed. The coupon worked and I could enter the rebate info online. My experience with Staples is that they will honor it. I bought an Eyemodule from them when it had a rebate and I also used a coupon code. No problems.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'll give it a try....
Just tried it- they are out of stock right now, and apparently will not let you back order them- they keep trying to get you to select an alternative item.
I wonder if they will still have the deals when they get back in stock, or if a store would honor the combined deals?
$40 shipped!!
$149.98 from Staples.com
-$30.00 Staples Coupon code
-$50.00 Staples Rebate on Visor
-$30.00 Handspring Rebate on Visor
--------
$39.98

Sounds great but there is one complication (other than the fact that Staples seems to be out of stock.) Both rebate offers require the UPC codes. Handspring's states it must be the original-does anyone know what Staples requires?
Well, I decided just to go for it. I placed my order and it went through-no indication that anything was on backorder. We shall see what happens with the coupon and the 2 rebates...
According to other people, you can use a copy of the UPC for Staples' rebate.
The Staples rebate form does not specifically state that the original UPC is needed. Additionally, several people on the Anandtech Hot Deals forum have confirmed with Staples that they will accept the copy of the UPC.

How to do it?
Tried on Staples.com wouldn't let me add the visor to my cart. Please advise.

It Worked
It worked. I cleared my cache and tried again and was able to enter my own zip and volla worked. My only question is how can I be sure staples will take a photocopy of the UPC. Handspring wants the original.

Hi there! I just joined because I got my Visor 2MB following the Anandtech Hot Deal ($150 - $30 coupon - $50 Handspring rebate - $30 Staples Rebate = $40
). Therefore, it is my first PDA.
I can confirm that Staples DOES indeed accept a copy of the UPC. So send your original UPC to Handspring and send the copy to Staples to get the double rebates.
The only disadvantage of this offer? I've had this Visor for 2 days and I've already ordered a 16 MB Hagiwara memory module
You should be able to get the memory upgraded to 8MB somewhere. But it will void your warranty though.
