Since you deleted them, I don't even have any idea of what you're talking about, but I'm not sure how this approach is going to help matters.

my 2 worst movies

Ok, I have to agree about Thomas and the Magic Railroad, my kids (5&3) love it, but it is so not the quality of the series.

Two big questions arise from this movie:
1. Why are clips not shown from this movie to embarass Alec Baldwin on Late Night TV
2. Why is Alec Baldwin still in America - W was elected 6 months ago!


Second worst movie - and this one takes the cake:
Dr. T and the women with Richard Gere

Annoying points (SPOILERS - not that the movie isn't already rotten):
1. Way overcharictarization of North Dallas
2. Farrah Fawcett dancing naked in a ritzy Dallas mall
3. Her character is diagnosed with going nuts because she is "loved too much"
4. Richard Gere's car is picked up by a tornado in Downtown Dallas - he ends up in Mexico (at least 400 miles)
5. We get to watch a baby being delivered - from the Dr's viewpoint

Just saw this "movie"

Did ya see "Escape from LA" on TV last night...I think this could have been Steve Bushemi's first appearence. I was falling asleep but I saw him playing a bit part in this terrible flick...

My worst films list (take it or leave it):

(No surprise)Every movie which lists Julia Roberts in the credits, with two exceptions: Michael Collins, because she wasn't in it that much, and Erin Brockovich, because even SHE couldn't ruin a script that good and a director with that much talent. Why he casted her is still a mystery, though.

(And yes, I've seen them all, even though I hate her, just so that I'm not a hypocrite for making fun of her.)

By the way, all the other movies she's been in suck for reasons ranging far beyond just the lack of ability of the leading lady. Poor dialogue, lame plot choices, and seriously cheezy endings would have made these movies suck regardless. But having her certainly didn't improve the situation.

I've heard she's got the lead for the new remake of Mr. Ed. She certainly has the TEETH for that.

Other movies that I didn't exactly like:

Crying Game- Great first twenty minutes about the IRA turns into two hours about a chick with a d$%@. It was supposed to be shocking; I wasn't surprised. I was enraged. Probably THE worst film I've ever seen.

Almost everything Disney (animated) post Lion King. Man, they just took that formula and ran with it, didn't they? Lately they've been doing better. (Atlantis was okay, and Fantasia 2000 rules, but that's thanks to Roy Disney, and despite Eisner.) And no, Pixar movies like Bugs Life and Toy Story are NOT Disney films.

Non-Animated Disney movies usually suck, unless they had nothing to do with them, like in the case of Sixth Sense. Thus, Air Bud, The Kid, etc. all suck.

Charlie's Angels. I read somewhere that the script was rewritten almost thirty times. They should have gone for thirty-one. Nothing worse than women who think they're funny but aren't. Drew Barrymore isn't cute enough or funny enough to pull of the role at all, but puts herself in the movie anyway because she's producing. Then, she puts her moronic boyfriend who also thinks he's funny even though he isn't into the movie for no apparent reason except to give him some work. Add some (inappropriate) Matrix rip-off special effects and you got one of the worst films ever. Lucy Lu was the only redeeming factor here. And Bill Murray, of course.

Someone mentioned the Coens earlier. They hit and miss. Big Lebowski deserves a second viewing, if you didn't like it the first time. Some of the scenes between Bridges, Goodman, and Buscemi are so natural, so well-written, and so well-acted they aught to be in film classes. Definitely Goodman's best work to date. Fargo is an awesome movie that goes over a lot of heads (no offense). You have to go into it realizing that it's a comedy. It really is a comedy.

Another killer movie that gets overlooked: Grand Canyon. Nobody I talk to gets that movie. It was so incredible.

That's all I can think of for now. There are lots more.

One word: Tampopo.

I saw that on IFC a few weeks ago and at the end I couldn't help but wonder why I had spent that last couple of hours of my life watching a movie about Chinese noodles. MAN!

Second choice, again from the Orient: The Pillow Book. I'm no film expert, but what I had heard about this film was supposed to be "deep" and "moving". Instead, and forgive me for spoiling plots, but it appeared to be mostly about an old guy who had a business or fetish for peeling the skins off of people for their tattoos. Talk about a head trip; perhaps I missed the point. Another Greenaway film, BTW.



Oh yeah - did anyone mention the "Faces of Death" series? Try watching THOSE while drinking beer and eating pizza in quantity.
