Hey

I recently got the 4-way stylus /pen/pencil etc. from Panache (sp?). It's nice and I recommend the product. Well made and looks nice. It's easier to use than the short stylus that docks in the Visor. My question is this... is there a simple pen/stylus combo out there that combines black ink, with a Stylus that is of the same quality factor as the 4-way?

Thanks

Yes. I have the PDA Panache Trio. I think it is nice and I love the technology of the way it operates. BUT. The ballpoint pen is too fine for my taste and the orange tip stylus is too hard. I went back to using my Cross Pen Duo Classic. It has the classic feel of a real pen. The ballpoint is normal and the stylus is absolutely the best in that it is soft and doesn't scratch. For example, when you tap on the screen it is quiet vs. the hard knock sound of the Panache tip. Writing is smooth and comfortable but I can say that for the PDA Panache Trio compared to the little toothpick styli that fit in the slot.

The only thing I don't like about the Cross Classic Duo is that you have to unscrew the cover of the ballpoint to use it and it does not friction fit well over the stylus. So you end up holding it in your other hand or sticking it in your pocket out of fear of loosing it. I've gotten use to it.

The Cross Classic Duo is almost 6 inches long. I'm finding that I frequently use it as a pointer in meetings. That part I like.

Thumbs up

I know PDA Panache made a duo pen that had their orange stylus and a black ballpoint. I too just wanted a pen/stylus combination so I ordered it. I wasn't real happy with it (it was light and the clip was cheap) so I kept looking.

I tried the Cross Duo for a couple of days but returned it. The screw on cap was a problem, the "exposed" stylus on the end I thought collected too much dust, and I didn't like the stylus. They made it out of some "pen on paper feel" material which is very quiet, but felt to me almost like I was writing with a pencil eraser.

Last week I got the Platinum Executive triple, which I fell in love with. the pen has a nice "meaty" feel and weight to it, the clip is much heavier and quality, the action is smooth, and the stylus is smooth and works great. The best part is it was only $25 bucks, which is the cheapest of the 3 I've tried.

I got my platinum through palmgear at:
