Question

Hello everyone,
I can't find a link to help me with this issue. How can I transfer all of my contents from my Vdx to my new Plat? I run backupbuddy and am not sure how this will work. I have read that Launcher III does not operate under the Plats OS, if so how do I remove it from my Vdx and backupbuddy prior to synching to the Plat. I'm pretty techno illiterate so a step by step on the procedures would be of much help. Thanks in advance.

Jim

I have read reports that Launcher III does work with Palm OS 3.5 and Black And White devices if you reduce the color that it uses. 4 bit I think. I read it on palmgear reviews for the Launcher III.

Go to the launcher III prefs and uncheck use Launcher III alway (or something like that). You can delete it now if you want.

If you have any OS upgrades on the deluxe, you should probably delete them.

Do a hotsync to make sure you have a current copy of your deluxe

Sync the platinum. When asked, select the name of the deluxe you want to copy from the list.

After the hotsync, all your files should be on your platinum.

If you had the backup module, you could of just backup the deluxe (after deleting the os patches) and then restore it to the Plat.

My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

How do I know if I have any OS patches? If so how and where do I delete them from? Thanks for the info.
