VPL Touchscreen Is Off Kilter
I continue to be happy with the performance of my two year old VPL. I have recently begun experiencing a problem where occasionally the sensitivity of my touch screen is off. That is to say, the spot I touch with the stylus actuates a place on the screen abour 3/8 of an inch to the right of where I touch. This makes actuating programs difficult, and using the manual text entry keys very challenging.
I have tried "resetting" the screen using the "Welcome" function. Sometimes the unit works fine, other times it is difficult.
Could I have an issue with a program, or is it more likely that the touch-screen is simply dying on me?
Try using Digifix. I had a similar problem with my Pro and Digifix (available at Palmgear) fixed it straight-up.
Good luck.
Partial Fix
Great suggestion...Digifix fixes the problem though I still need to use it frequently.
I suspect that my VPL is slowly dying. The on-off button barely works anymore...the touchscreen malfunctions...i lost the battery cover (ordered a new one for $6).
The real question for me is whether to pick up another VPL for $99 and use the hardware I have (and am happy with) or migrate to the new Garmin iQue for $600.
