Win ME and Hot Synch via USB problem!

I have a Visor Platinum that syncs just fine at work via serial port and Win 2000.

At home the USB cradle and Win ME. I cant get it to Hot Sync at all. All cables are well-connected(no hub in between) and I loaded the new Palm Desktop v4.01.

I have the Hot Sync icon and app on my desktop.

The Visor USB registry cleaner utility returns message;
"no registry entry to clean; reinstall Palm software"

AGHHHHHHH!!!!!

what tha hail is worng here?
Im thinkin the cradle itself must be bad....
Any ideas/help is most appreciated!

Make sure "Local USB" is enabled in the HotSync manager. If it is and you still can't sync, try re-installing the software.
