Ah..

The Edge really wasn't groundbreaking, even in the Visor world. Yeah, it's got about $10.00 (maybe $20.00) more worth of goodies in it (metal buttons!!!) , but does that justify owning it over a similarly-equipped Platinum? Lets say you're running a BLUETOOTH module next year. The Palm keeps its Form Factor (it has to!) , the Edge loses it, and the Plat keeps it!

Don't get me wrong. I love the Edge. But I think it could have been so much more! And while I DO wish Palm had given the M505 a brightness control, I still think the M505 is the best Palm OS Handheld to date. Because, unlike the Prism, if you're not happy with the light on the Palm, you can always use your own! (and save your batteries!) (The Clie missed the title for compatibility purposes. See upcoming post of mine!)

I would rather have an Edge than a Platinum definitely. Slimmer form factor, metal buttons, and a built in cover dictate that for me. I suppose it could have been more but it's better than nothing.

The Palm could lose its form factor. Hopefully not. I forget what the mockup looked like. Hopefully my next Handspring will have built in wireless.

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

There is already a $100 rebate on the Edge starting tomarrow and there is this tradeup program. So if I can subtract, $499-$100-$100=$299. $299 for an Edge is not bad. Would I buy one? No, I am satisfied with my VDX and am waiting for their new product line.

i could see this coming. the edge has no way to compete with M50x, same spec, same size but lacks of storage option.

and the expansion of the edge is just so clunky, no one want claudia in panda suit, they all want her to be in bikini suit (or less)

palm will keep reduce their price, as well as handspring. and the bloodbath begins

Well I went for it. All I had to do was give them a viable serial # and that was it. 100 bucks off. So now I'm selling my VxD for 150. Not bad for an upgrade 150 out of pocket.

I hope they do a better job at delivery than they did when I got my Vxd the week they offered them. Now that was a major pain.

25% rebate? where?

Does Visor Edge offer better screen than Sony PEG-300?

I don't care about the memory stick, picturegear, or whatever. I only want the best screen.

I want to get the Sony one because it's getting cheaper.

I have a Visor Deluxe too, so, I can take advantage of this rebate program for my Edge.

I think that Palminfocenter got that one confused. It's not a rebate, but a rebate hidden under a trade up program. You can only get (1) $100 off coupon.. Either you have a Vsr serial number, or an old device that you trade. That's how you do it.. No way else.. I've read now 6 some articles. .adn you all konw you can trust me.. right ?

This works for me. I just sold my Visor DLX and extras (stylus, cases, flipcover, extend battery) for 300 to a friend. Then I get the 100 rebate. Do I'm getting a free Edge upgrade.
