Can't get buttons to stay reassigned

I have tried numerous times to reassign the buttons on my Edge. It works for a little while (10 minutes or so), then they revert to the defaults. Has anyone else encountered this problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?

are you using any hacks? try disableing them. other than that, i dunno. tres wierd.

Do you have the latest updates from handspring.com?

Thanks for the advice, guys. Yes, I do have some hacks installed, but disabling them makes no difference, and the problem started well before I installed them. I first noticed it when I installed DateBk4 and tried to reassign a button. As for updating the software, there aren't any updates or patches for the Edge, as far as I know. I think I'll send an email to Handspring support. Maybe I've just got a dud machine, but it seems fine in all other respects (and the Edge is a good bit of kit, whatever some people say).
