-- New Handspring software not synching? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2779)
Hello everybody,
Just installed the new Handspring software for Macintosh that was released yesterday and now my Hotsynching no longer works. Tried all the advice that I found on this forum about 9.0.4 not synching, no luck. If anybody has this problem with the new Mac software feel free to let me know if you have a fix or workaround, if no one can help me fix this thing then I guess I can try to go back to the old software. Anyway, Thanks for any help you may provide!
Yeah, mine isn't working right.
I have same problem. I trashed the Palm User file in the Users folder everytime I hotsync but it created multiple "userid" folder and it is pain in the butt. Went back to older version - takes longers to identify an user (over a minute, but at least it synching. Hope some have a better solution.
chalk up one more person it isn't working for.
If you are using a PowerBook, I found that puting the comptuer to sleep can open up a small time window to hotsync before the serial monitor stops reasponding. That thing just messes up my USB bus after every sync..
I have had a problem making a backup after using the Stowaway keyboard. Handspring called and suggested disabling AppleTalk and giving it a go. Worked fine. Too a lot less time that the trashing of the Backup folder routine. I just enabled ATalk right after.
Spoke with Handspring tech support today. They're aware of problems with Mac Palm Desktop v2.6 and are working on fix. He said someone would call me in about 3-5 days!!!
Hi MarkS,
Nice to know Handspring is working on a bug fix for us, thanks for passing along the info!!! Let us know what they say when they call you back, OK?
