OfficeMax started selling visors late, and then, maybe 2 years after visors were introduced, i saw OfficeMax ads saying "BRAND NEW! VISOR DELUXE!"

Thumbs down

Personally, I prefer Staples over both Office Max and Office Depot. They both suck! OD's PDA selection is horrible. Most of the in store demo units are dead, and in desperate need of a recharge. Some of the devices are even mislabled. At one time, they had an iPaq sitting in the slot that was meant for the Palm M505.

Beat it.

Staples is hard to beat. I can always brow-beat the store manager into a return, even if its opened software. I bought a scanner a couple weeks ago and the sales clerk tried to sell me an extended warranty. I said "screw it" if it breaks after only 90 days I am going to bring it back and you are going to give me a new one. The clerk didn't flinch.

The only problem I had at my local Staples was a clerk who didn't appreciate the difference between a serial and a USB cradle. "Yes it will work, but thats not the point."

Staples stacks up very well on price...and its just down the street from me...a tough combination to beat.

super discount at Office Depot

I just stopped in my local Office Depot and found a bazillion and one Visor accessories in the 50% off marked price clearance baskets. They had backup modules for $17, 8mb flash modules for $24, Total Recall for $35, cases, cradles, etc.

These are a steal.

shoot, I don't even have an OD or an OM near me. (meaning half hour or less travel. I think there's an OD in Albany but that's an hour.)

I went to two different one's today on my way to and from a job, in Greenville, NC they had a lot of $5 game faces, a couple of $30 Prism serial cradles and a few edge covers. In Raleigh they had one backup module and several 8MB modules, but they were $40.

Congrats to all of you that were able to take advantage of this deal!
