Darn. What were they unable to control? The fact that putting it together would probably cost upwards of $300 making it unattractive to sell?

Translation: They were unable to overcome the technical challenges of the Minijam's 3 functions (originally supposed to have not only MP3 playback, but also file storage and voice recording), so a 6 function capability was completely out of the question.
