I just browsed the Buy/Sell/Trade postings and wondered: If I buy someone's extra VDx, will I have trouble if I need service or support (since Handspring would have no record of the unit being shipped to me)?

Do you register your Visor with Handspring so they have a record of it, regardless of where you bought it?

Don't laugh. I know service and support are the next best thing to non-existent right now but, if I did need it, what would happen?

I suspect that it doesn't matter if you're a customer of Handspring's directly or not. you probably will get the same service (or lack of) that the rest of us will.
