Unhappy

Were we not promissed upgrades for the OS?
Well the Palm OS3.5 has been around for a while now and I sure have not heard from Handspring about an upgrade patch.
Are they not supporting those who put out the bucks to get them started? Have you written and asked about an upgrade?
If everyone did they might do something, or not.
How has your experience been when trying to get support from Handspring?
Over the past year I have written twice and recieved responces within a few days. Have things changed, now that they swim with the big fish?

Actually, we weren't promised 3.5 upgrades. It is not techincally possible, given that the Visor ROM is not Flash ROM.

Well, it's not technically impossible, as Handspring could conceivably release an Updater that gave 3.5 functionality.

Good point. I should have said that an updated OS couldn't reside in Flash ROM (like a Palm-branded PDA), since there is none.

PQAs

What I really want to know is if I will get a patch that will allow my VDX to run PQAs. Otherwise, I will be forced to upgrade--that is a crock of bait-and-switch.

Not from my experience. I've spoken to them frequently this last month (I wouldn't have had to if my serial cradle wasn't back-ordered) and they've come through beautifully. Let them know what your problem is and let us know how they respond.
