switching to NiMH
Hi,
For Christmas I received a set of NiMH batteries and a charger -- a very nice gift. I tried to switch the battery type in my VDX using
..7 but it seemed to only cycle through the following: Alkaline, NiCad, and Rechargeable Alkaline.
I guess I have two questions:
1. After changing the battery type, it seems to cycle through the above three in order -- how do you know which one is currently set into the system?
2. How do I get NiMH batteries to properly register? I think I saw a thread about some hack, but could not find it (the search brought back too many posts).
thanks in advance,
Juggler
1. The battery type shown is the type you've set it to. NiCd power levels are comperable to NiMH so it's safe to use that setting if you like.
2. yes, there is a hack; I decided not to use hacks so I can't direct you to it.
I have an add-on control panel called "Battery" (available here) which I use to switch between battery types.
