Let's try a different direction:

--We shall say 'ni' again to you if you do not appease us.
--Well, what is it you want?
--We want... a shrubbery!
--A what?
--Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!
--Ow! Oh!
--Please, please! No more! We will find you a shrubbery.
--You must return here with a shrubbery or else you will never pass through this wood alive!
--O Knights of Ni, you are just and fair, and we will return with a shrubbery.
--One that looks nice.
--Of course.
--And not too expensive.
--Yes.
--Now... go!

And I'll stand over grave

Okay, but it's Bob Marley, not Sinead.

Later: after a while I remembered that Sinead O'Conner did cover "war" but it's still not her song.

if you go here:

Not exactly sure where this came from or for what purpose. I was simply quoting BobDylan's "Masters of War". Following suit with all the other posts containing song lyrics and DR's post about War. Just wanted to trow a little Folk Music into the mix.

++++

No reason to edit your post. We have made it this far without flaming. I take no insult to what you said, I just want you to understand what my quote was about.

Vote for me and I'll set you free.
(Rap on brother. Rap on.)
Well, the only one talkin' 'bout love thy brother is the preacher.
And it seems nobody interested in learnin' 'cept the teacher.
Segregation, determination, demonstration, integration
Aggravation, humiliation, obligation to our nation
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today (hey hey)

Toby notices that he's at 1K of posts (in computer terms).

I was commenting on the particular lyrics that were quoted, as cut, they changed the tone of the song & its meaning as well. The new meaning, as quoted, juxtaposed in a significant way with the quote I posted (then deleted, but you quoted it, so it's there anyway...). Anyway, on second thought it seemed, um, antagonistic, so I dropped it. d
