-- Intelligolf module, anyone? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=5326)
Has anyone tried the Intelligolf SB module or even just the Palm software yet. I'm starting to get spring fever, and was wondering how it works for you.

FORE..., I mean, Thanks.

I'm working on a review of it right now. It's pretty nice, and is great if you want to track all of your golfing stats.

When you review this can you please find out what the difference is between Hole view and scorecard view. I searched all over the sight and can not find anything that tells the difference. It seems self explanatory but I would like to know the details.
P.S.
Have you ever heard anything about the bug in the financial calculator.
I have used the springboard module of Intelligolf twice. It is slick. Entering the scores is really quick. Quicker than writing them down on a scorecard. Most of our local courses are already on the Intelligolf website. Downloading them to the PC and then to the Visor is easy. This thing tracks everything: Putts, many types of bets, calculates winnings, greens in regulation, longest drives, scores per type of hole, etc... I really like the bet tracking like skins games. You know where you are at all the way through the game. Hole view, I believe, is the standard view, where each hole is on the full screen. You can click on an individual player name to look at their scorecard. It handles handicaps, etc... Seems to deal with anything up to a foursome. I don't think it will deal with a fivesome. It gives you all of the statistics for your round on the Visor. Then after you hot sync, it pulls that round into the PC and eliminates it from your visor. On the PC software it keeps all of your rounds. Estimates your handicap, and gives you your combined statistics. It is really cool. Highly recommend it.

How do you carry your Visor on the golf course?
Carrying it in my pocket wouldn't be comfortable when swinging and it'd be inconvenient to pull it out of my bag each time I need to score.
I guess if I played with a cart more than I do, I could leave it in the cart.
So far, I have carried my visor in my pocket in the slip cover. Not the greatest but it works. I saw a picture on the Intelligolf website, of a device that holds the PDA on the steering wheel of a golf cart. I believe it will also work on your scorecard holder area of your golf bag if you have one of those. That worries me a little bit in case my pull cart tips over on a hill.

What do you think about carrying it with a belt-clip like the Rhodiana?

Is there any advantage to the springboard over simply installing the software on the Visor? (Other than the obvious memory footprint of the full app, a seemingly minor issue with 8MB.) Any extra features or anything?
I have used the normal software, and, provided it is no different, I would add my praises to the program's usefulness.

Regarding the springboard vs software, I agree that the only real difference is the memory footprint. It seems early on in my period of ownership that this isn't too important. But it seems that every week I add something to memory, especially as I bring more documents, books, and spreadsheets into the Visor. I think this will matter at some point.
Regarding the belt clip, I have never used one. I guess it is probably a good idea.
