-- Should I change from blue to ice??? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=470)

Question

I ordered a blue visor (a low time ago in a galaxy far, far away. but that's beside the point here...)

Recently I've seen some picture's of the blue visor and realise that the back, the cover and the cradle are in ice for all color visors...

now I'm thinking of changing my order to ice....
That way I have an uni-color machine and still have something that looks different...

Can anybody post some pictures of an ice visor??

Can anybody help me decide what to do...

Given the nature of Handspring, I would advise you to not change anything at all for obvious reasons.

I'm happy with the blue colour actually. If they ever release a red.. deep red colour case, I'd buy it in a second. I kind of like the multicolourness of it and the clear-ice flip cover isn't bad either. Keeps it slightly more professional looking than a gameboy

I agree changing an order is a risky thing therefore I want to be sure I want to change to an ice one...

Can anybody PLEASE post some pictures of the ice visor....

That way I can change the order while I still can....

all of the backs for colored visors are ice, should be able to give enough of a clue as to what the front will look like. See http://mayhem.res.cmu.edu/~cheese/visor.html
for pictures.

ToolKit, If my Ice VDx ever gets here (over 6 weeks already) I'll take some pictures and let Rich post 'em for ya. That's about the best I can do. Sorry bud.

I've e-mailed some pics to Rich. If he chooses to post them, let me apologize ahead of time for my poor photography. To get a feel of the actual color you really should look at the cradle pic Rich has on his site. Maybe my pics, though very poor, will give you the general feel for how it looks.

I, for one, am very pleased with my ice Visor.

never mind... I just spoke to a sales rep. and they allready shipped out my blue visor last monday... so it can arrive any day now...

In order to change it to ice I have to sent it back, and I don't want that...

I am looking at my blue vdx now, and I am very pleased with the color - I was hoping it would be a deeper blue, like pictured on the handspring site, but it is a little lighter - plus, the screen underneath the edge of the top cover makes the border look greenish - I think it is a little misleading of handspring to post picures of the blue vdx on the site with a back view of a graphite unit(black) - but again, blue is a great choice - different, but not obnoxious.
