Screen Unresponsive
My boss has a Visor Handspring PDA. Suddenly, the screen will not respond when tapped with the stylus. We tried another person's stylus (which is known to work) and that wasn't it. It's not the batteries, either. The buttons work, but she can not access any information or scroll up and down by tapping the screen. What should I do? Also, is there a phone number where I can call and talk to a human? Thanks!
Nancy,
Sounds like the digitizer may be bad, or the connection between it and the screen has something wrong with it. The screen is really a glass sandwich - the bottom layer is the display, the (transparent) top layer is the digitizer. Take a look at www.gethightech.com - scroll down the page and on the left side, in a block called "information", click the link to "repair information". From there you can get to a guide and a video on digitizer replacement (you might try just reseating the connector from the digitizer to the screen, if the digitizer is not cracked).
HTH!

Thank you, Dwayne! I forwarded your answer to our MIS guy--maybe this will do the trick.
