Thumbs down

Good day,

I was very interested in the purchasing the VDX, but in the end decided to get the palmIII. I think that the springboard cell phone will be great.............but here is my beef....

While talking to someone on the phone/visor, if you are a heavy user, any info you have is on your PDA right?? So now you will have to pull the phone/visor away from your ear to look at data/phone numbers/address/memo.......
You will have to write down any info on a separate piece of paper, and then dictate it back to the person on the phone...
All of this seems a little tedious to me and defeats the purpose of a PDA...They are suppose to make your life simpler right??

Please let me know if you think I am from another planet.

The Visor sounds like a BAD idea. Don't waste your money if anything like that ever comes out.

Your fears are confirmed. My phone has a scheduler and phone list on it. You can't really talk and check the phone list at the same time.

Talking

It's true that having a speaker on the Visor would be a hassle. A better solution would be to have a combo earpiece/mic that fit in your ear. That way you could talk, listen, & tap away.

The mike, earpiece idea sounds great. Combine that with a tiny Bluetooth wireless transmitter/receiver and you're all set.

Red face

yea, You guys are probably right (sic) All of the stupid people developing the springboards can't possibly have thought of consumer concerns.
