-- Help needed (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10968)
I need help with my Visor Prism.
I had installed the Launch 'EM program version 2. Then, I installed the beta of the new beta version 3. I didn't have any problems with the beta all until it expired earlier this week. I removed the program and from the Visor. (I disabled it under Hackmaster first). I also made sure to have the preferences turned off for use Launch 'EM as the default launcher.
I just wanted to leave it off of my Visor until the Launch 'EM is no longer in Beta. But, when I try to switch categories in the regular launcher it freezes. (Every single time) When I press the home button, it will switch application categories.
I have already done a hard reset of my Visor and wiped the data. When it was finished I could switch categories again. I thought that everything might be okay until I put my data back on the Visor. I guess that there is some file or preference that is screwing things up but I can't figure out what it is.
If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
Scott
Install the beta again. The new one expires on April 15th. Then disable the use Launch 'em as your default launcher. Menu . . . Options . . . General Prefs. Now delete the program and its files.
Hope it works.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.
My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.
Didn't work
I did as you suggested and I turned off the use as default. Then went back into the default palm launcher and deleted the beta and the hack that was associated with launch'em. (Also disabled)
I tried to switch categories again, and the same thing happened and I had to reset the Visor.
Here is exactly what it says
Fatal Alert
DataMgr.c, Line:7025,
DmWrite
mWriteCheck
failed.
Thanks again.
