Oh, I'll get mine.

I was wondering when we'd see VC chime in on the treo.

I keep DateBook (which incidently is the only calendar app -- no Datebook icon anymore) configured so that the weekly appointment view is the first screen. Press the calendar button and then use the jog rocker to scroll through the weeks.

Urf. I'm assuming that the first "DateBook" should have a "+" after it? Maybe I'm not understanding that sentence.

...so many questions, I'll hold back till after the review... though the fact that the jog rocker acts as a scroll button in the calendar is good--hopefully it will do the same in Avantgo and ISilo (and wordsmith....)

the big question is...

... did VC buy one like everyone else and just get lucky getting it delivered already, or did handspring marketing send him one special???

Arrow Well

Well it sounds like Handspring finally sent them one. It also seem that they ahve to send it back after the reviews.

I've seen several reviewers comment on the change of hardware buttons, which has puzzled me. If it's running Palm OS, can't you use Preferences to configure those buttons to call up any program you want?

I've used a program called QuickSwitch for years (www.standalone.com), which lets me stack multiple programs on each button so that I can "toggle" through them in succession -- great for one-handed use! One button has all my reading material on it, for instance: AvantGo, iSilo, PalmReader, etc.

Well, you can configure the 4 main buttons (no calc button). What you can't configure is the activity of the Opt + button (which gets you to Memo, ToDo, etc). this is very annoying and I wonder if maybe I just haven't figured out how yet.

The stylus is stubby. I like it.

What does 'Opt + button' mean? Is that holding down the blue button while simultaneously pressing one of the HW buttons?

Lightbulb

James mentioned that the Treo does not allow you to set a ring tone for each caller.

Can VisorPhone do this?

Thanks,
