Great! Now I have to throw some stuff out, so I'll have room for one of them! Thanks for the tip.

heh, this topic seems to be going around many message boards these days.

My favorite from the bunch is the timbuk2 bags. you can find 'em at http://www.timbuk2.com, you can customize your own bag, colors, sizes, accessories, everything. A bit pricey at $100-ish, but worth it, methinks, with the materials they use.

Wow...that Timbuk2 bag builder is an amazing use of Flash. I just spent about 15 minutes there. If I decided to buy a bag (which I AM looking at) I would most definitely go with them.

I got a messenger bag a few months ago from CourierWare (www.courierwareusa.com). They're a little company outside Boston and the bags are really sturdy. Prices run from $65 to $100+. The only problem I had was they took a few weeks to get the bag to me, but it was worth the wait.

Talking Great bags

I really don't NEED a messenger bag, but after checking out the web sites above, I'm really impressed and thinking of getting one instead of using my trusty backpack. Thanks so much for the links.
