-- MemPlug vs. Hagiwara 16 MB Module? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=13086)
My apologies, I've been under a rock for a few months.
Anyway, earlier this week I ordered the Hagiwara 16 MB Springboard module from PGHQ. Yesterday I received an email saying the MemPlug is now available. I've missed out on all of your discussions that flesh out what each of these products really can do and how they differ, so can you help a guy out here?
- Can you run programs directly from the MemPlug (I'm leaning towards no on that one)?
- Can you access static data that are stored on the MemPlug (like keeping a really large PeanutPress book on there)?
- Does the SM card protude out of the module (which would worry me about damaging my SM cards; could not use this as an everyday module)?
- Despite the Hagiwara module costing more for only 16 MB (roughly equivalent to the cost of the MemPlug + 32 MB), is it a more usable module for day-to-day use?
- Which would you pick? (not counting CF or MemoryStick adapters since I do not own/care about those media formats; my digital camera uses SM)
Thanks!

From what I understand you can not run programs directly from the MemPlug right now....but this should change as updates are provided.

He/She says that should be a program soon to allow you to use certain doc files right from the MemPlug itself. Give it some time and I am sure that soon you will be able to access programs right from the MemPlug directly.
