-- scaned text (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3166)
I have had my Vdx for about 3 weeks and its great. Dse any one know how to get a scanned text into the visor for viewing.I have a HP scanjet, and want to scan text on to my desk top and then down load them to my Vdx.
Mike, as far as I know you have to convert your scanned text to .doc or .txt format and then hotsynced to your visor. You can use i.e. AportisDOC to view a textfile. Of course you will lose the text-formatings.
I think it is not possible to view pictures on the Visor. Or is it? Any ideas?
Chris
I found a great picture viewer on palmgear. It's called Fireviewer and it's freeware. http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...&prodID=230
Seems to work fine but haven't played with it much.
Hope that helps

Thanks Chris, I'll give AportisDOC a try.

Hi Mike, hope this helps -- and you are welcome. ;-))
I am just downloading FireViewer. Will give it a try. Thanks Horus.
Chris
Fireviewer is a great program. Used to be called ImageViewer. I've been using it for a couple of months now and it works great. I can use it to carry a map of the Boston T (Which I need whenever I'm going to an area I don't go usually)
